Hello, Mr. Scott, I found your article because I was getting worried. I just ordered checks from Chase on August 24th, JUST LAST MONTH - it's been over a week now and I still haven't gotten them! I told my Dad and he told me to keep an eye on my account online to make sure there's no fraud going on.

I usually do that anyway - but that scared me so bad so I went through Chase's check ordering process online and it redirected me to this:

A recent order for this account number has been shipped:

Date Order Shipped: August 25, 2016
Shipped Via: Standard Delivery
Allow 14 calendar days for printing and delivery.

And YES, no confirmation email! The only reason I was able to get that information was because I was already logged into Chase!

Also I had no idea how bad that Deluxe website is until I read this! Now I'm even more scared that they won't deliver squat! And I need those checks to pay for next month's rent!

But it's been less than two weeks still. I think maybe I should wait the rest of the two weeks and if nothing turns up, I'll go to Chase and get a refund. (I think they'd be reluctant to give me a refund just because of some article on the Internet saying Deluxe.com has very bad customer service and a very badly designed website. No offense to you, Scott, but that's probably how the Chase people would see it.)

Then I'll go to VistaPrint and get the fastest shipping possible! I'll pay the extra money - I just need the checks!

That's HORRIBLE that an established, respectable bank like Chase relies on a crap website like this that doesn't send confirmation emails or any tracking info! Why would they do that?! That just baffles me to no end!!

Thank you so much. I took out the carriage returns. I thought I was going crazy. You have also made me aware that the checks will probably NOT arrive in time for my house closing. I will go to Plan B.

REPEAT 9999[ Pr [Thank you!]]

Thanks! And yes, but I take no responsibility for whatever Wordpress decides to do with your quotes. If it were to do anything crazy, rest assured that I'd solve it in the only way I know how: With another rant. :>

I guess it was too much to hope for that they'd have updated their site in the last 6 months. But at least my rant remains relevant!

Excellent "rant" (I assume you can accept quotes!). I just had all the same java issues myself. As as a developer also, I'm surprised at not only the simple java certificate issues, but also the poor UI. I'm equally surprised that Chase would allow a key partner to offer a website like this. I, too, have had a great experience with Chase (multiple account holder for decades) and the rest of their web service has been well done. Good it hear though that it wasn't only me looking at this and thinking "am I really at the right site or did I go back in time?"

Hi, I read your rant after experiencing my own frustration and wondering whether I was the only one. You described the experience perfectly! Half a year later, not much has changed, but the Deluxe ordering site has taken one baby step toward the 21st century: If you don't want to provide your confidential banking info to all and sundry, you can now opt to browse the site without pricing. That's what I want, hoping their site is more efficient at filtering through the design details than their space on the Chase website.

... But I think that I might just end up ordering from Vistaprint, anyway. :)

Thanks for letting me commiserate!
